In 1974 we started our career in real estate and have been income self-sufficient entrepreneurs ever since. As business owners, real estate brokers, builders, and managing agents for other people's interests, we have a very broad scope of expertise.


Real Estate Brokerage

We own an independent real estate brokerage business called GOOD BUY Real Estate. We build residential units and brokerage both residential and commercial transactions.


On a commercial brokerage basis, we closed many large lease and sale transactions. Some include:


  • 250,000 sq. ft. distribution center, a sublease transaction on Algonquin Rd in Mt. Prospect, Pepsi Bottling to Budweiser.


  • 43,000 sq. ft. direct office lease transaction on Dundee Rd in Arlington Heights for Digital Equipment.

Some Of What We Have Accomplished:


As builders, we developed:


770 East Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect.

We built a 3,000 square foot office building on the Northwest corner of Northwest Highway and Edward Ave. This involved acquiring the land, consolidating the sites, rezoning, winning variations, constructing the office building, leasing, then held ownership, eventually selling it.


Harvest Heights Subdivision, Mount Prospect.

A 67 lot single-family subdivision Northeast of the intersection of Rand Road and Central Road. Optioned the 22 acre farm, annexed it into the City of Mount Prospect. Engineered the road/site improvements and had it approved. Then sold the site to Scarsdale Builders who built the homes.


Noah Terrace, Mount Prospect.


We purchased 9 random lots and constructed custom homes on an individual design/build basis.


1584 Banbury Road, Inverness.

Designed and built a custom single-family home of 5,000 square feet.


Abbey Springs, Walworth County, Wisconsin, on Geneva Lake.

Purchased three lots, built two custom homes (spec) and sold them. Eventually, selling the third vacant lot.


Patriot Woods Subdivision, Cary.

Acquired a 13-acre wooded track of land, annexed it into the city, engineered and installed the road improvements. Sold 30 lots to builders who built custom homes.


909 East Palatine Road, Palatine.

Acquired a one-acre land site, divided the Palatine Road frontage for a freestanding office building of 5,500 square feet. Built, leased, and owned the building until selling it.


11 & 21 South Leonard Road, Palatine.


Built two single family homes behind the 909 East Palatine Road office building on a speculative basis and sold them.


THREE LITTLE GREEN ACRES, Unincorporated Cook County.

Purchased a single family home on 5 acres of land, subsequently subdivided into three sites, remodeled the home and resold all three parcels.


428 W. Kenilworth, Palatine.

Purchased a small deteriorated single family home, doubled the square footage, added a three-car garage and subsequently sold it for more than twice the original purchase price.


Lot 119 W. Wise Road, Unincorporated Cook County.

"Contract purchased" a half-acre home site which did not meet County standards for residential development. Through 8 months of engineering designs, septic field testing, potable well water qualifications, site drainage issues, and multiple other meetings and requirements, we turned a fallow parcel into a quality home site which exceeded construction permit standards.

Leasing and Management of Real Estate

Our firm was retained as the leasing and managing agent for many office properties. Some of the office complexes were:

  • North Arlington Atrium and 5105 Tollview Dr, Lexington Development


  • Terramere Office Plaza, and Kennedy Corporate Center, The Kennedy Brothers


  • 2355 S. Arlington Heights Road Building, Arlington Place II and Arlington Place Associates I; for the Arlington Place Corp Group


  • Salt Creek Office Center and Salt Creek Office Building, Salt Creek Partners


  • Stone Hill Square Office Center, Kimball Hill Companies,
    to name a few.
